Effective Governance is only as strong as the people and relationships behind it. Every transformation- whether in a coastal community, a corporate boardroom, or an intergovernmental process- depends on the inner capacity and relational capacity of those involved. This is where most ocean governance projects quietly fail. Not in the Blueprint. In the room.
At TFTBG, coaching and stakeholder management are not add-ons to our governance work. They are the foundation of it.
– Executive and Team Coaching –We offer executive and team coaching for leaders and professionals navigating complexity, transition and purpose- across the ocean governance, Blue Economy and sustainability space and beyond. Our coaching practice is grounded in EMCC/NOBCO professional standards- competence based rather than method-driven. This means we draw on a wide range of approaches tailored to each person, team and context, rather than applying a fixed formula. Theory U and the Inner Development Goals Franework are the overarching lenses that run through all our work- but what happens in a coaching conversation is always shaped by what the person and situation in front of us actually need.
Stakeholder Management and Facilitation– each person within a Bleu economy project or organisation has influence on the transformation underway. Stakeholder management is the co-creating force that recognises the nuances of each layer and voice- and builds the trust and shared ownership that lasting governance requires.
We design and facilitate processes that bring the full spectrum of a project’s stakeholders-from national governments bodies and international funders to local fishing communities and NGO partners- moving beyond positional debate towards genuine co-creation. Central to everything we do is TRAIN-THE-STAKEHOLDER- our core principle of building self-sufficiency. Everything we advise (and implement) is designed so that project owners, NGO’s, corporates and local communities can carry the work forward independently. TFTBG steps in, builds and then steps nack. Full self-sufficiency is always the goal.
Our Overarching Frameworks
Two frameworks run through all our coaching and stakeholder work
Theory U– developed at MIT’s Presencing Institute, Theory U helps individuals and groups move from reactive, ego-driven patterns towards a place where genuinely new futures can emerge. Rather than projecting the past onto the future, it creates the conditions for co-sensing and co-creating what is actually needed.

The Inner Development Goals framework- The scientifically researched framework of personal and relational capacities identified as essential for achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. As an IDG ambassador, we integrate these qualities into every process we facilitate.
